Singer/songwriter Joey Panzarella grew up near Cleveland in Fairport Harbor, Ohio, a small village of just under 3,000 people. Musical influences include Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, The Beatles and Pearl Jam. Piano, percussion, and bass are among his skills, but he is usually seen with an acoustic guitar and a harmonica. Joey has said, "If I'm awake, I'm constructing songs in my head. I think I even do it in my sleep." Writing and recording are priorities, as well as performing live.
Living near Raleigh in Benson, North Carolina, Joey is in the perfect location for performing in Eastern cities including Raleigh, Cleveland, Virginia Beach, Daytona, Orlando, Tampa Bay, and Nashville. "His solo performances are captivating and inspiring. His music simply makes you feel good." (Russell Williams-Restaurant Owner) A typical live show will include songs from his main influences, as well as Classic Country, Rock & Roll songs from the 1950's-1990's and original songs written by Joey.
Joey writes songs about love, family, social issues, relationships and story-telling. His song "Lucinda" tells the story of a girl who grew up in a rodeo family and lost her uncle/mentor and her mother to the hard life. "She was a teenager right in the prime of her youth. Her Uncle was buried and she never found out the truth." (Lucinda by Joey Panzarella)
"I would hire Joey to perform in a sold-out venue as well as in my backyard around the campfire for a private party." (Richard Harless-Venue Owner) Joey can currently be found on a stage or in a studio, recording his newest ideas. Find him, listen to his original songs, watch him perform and simply feel good.
